The discussion centers around travel, involving how to travel, where to travel, and why to travel. Roger and Tom also answer questions from the blog, regarding Zimbabwe, movies, poems, and football (soccer). Thay also discuss Coca-Cola, but unfortunately didn’t get any money for it.

Hey guys, another great episode of East Meets West. I think when I started listening there were 5 episodes…I think, not for sure, I guess I don’t have a life, lol. The past few weeks have flew by!
Speaking of flying by, talking about air mail, around here, people still have those mailboxes on really high polls and it says air mail on the side of the box.
De-caffeinated Luzianne sweet tea, all the way.

I am a sodatotaler. I do like going to nicer restaurants with fresh juices and lemonades.
As for traveling, my wife and I would visit the Garden State, but only for the fact that good friends live in the Newark area.

Who’s ready for the Minor League Baseball season? Since there are not any MLB teams in Utah, I have great baseball games to watch from the Salt Lake City Bees, Orem Owlz, and the Ogden Raptors. Seriously, the farm teams are a great, cheap option for good baseball. Play ball.

Hi guys, another great show. Quick comment regarding Roger’s comments on buying peaches in Japan. I lived there for some time a few years back, and the other thing that is ridiculously priced was sliced white bread. It was about 200 yen (a little under $2 US) for about 5 slices. And that’s not even specialty bread, that’s just plain, very basic, white bread.
Also, finally saw V for Vendetta last weekend, and must say I loved it. Hugo Weaving’s introduction was quite the statement in and of itself.
Keep up the good work guys!

after a fair amount of research, couldn’t find anything on any other Full Sail beer outside of the Oregon one. there’s a Ukiah Brewery but nothing related to Full Sail. just in case, also tried referencing Eureka and Yreka since they sound similar to Ukiah and are in the general northern, Oregon border area. one more beer related recommendation is for Bulldog British Pub in Monterey, 2-3 blocks off Cannery Row. my #1 fave drinking joint in my limited pub experience.
actually dialogic is an established but uncommonly used term. thanks for the GB brew recommendation. as for public systems, Seoul is the best i’ve used, vis-a-vis convenience + cleanliness + cost. lastly, during a blue moon when eating Americana fastfoods, i always turn down the soda and ask for water. oh yeah, what’s up with the cultural development of all drinks being ice-cold and the excessive use of ice?

I personally hate drinking plain water. I have to at least drink juice, but am addicted to soda. I am also alergic to aspertame and that rules out the diet stuff.

Tom and Roger, more Tom i would think but, is Barry Bonds and the Giants truly the opiate of the Bay Area masses? yes he’s never failed a test and it’s circumstantial but given the breadth of Balco, Canseco, and Palmeiro, in the least it should be afforded some weight by the masses but the few homegrown Giants’ fanatics i’ve met admit as such only if it was regarding another player. since it’s Bonds, well, he’s Bonds is the defense i have heard. i still remember the old 80s Topps cards i used to have of him and Bonilla, minus 40 lbs and 40 hr. how has ‘Game of Shadows’ been received in the Bay Area?

I am wondering what you guys think about this;
This past week Israel had there elections, there turnout, a staggeringly low 63.2%, the lowest turnout in the nation’s history… 63.2%??!! What would we have to do here to get that kind of turnout, Oprah vs. Trump for president?!
