I pretty much just get everyone one gift for Christmas. For my budget I set aside $20 per person, some gifts are less, some a little more, but works out in end, and anything leftover is used for Christmas cards, postage, etc.

HI all I want to make some points.

Its really interesting how Leo spoke to Roger as he said "you people". From my experience this shows the age of Leo rather than anything consciously racist. I think its more a legacy of the massive social changes that has occurred during the time that Leo has been alive. Please don't misunderstand as criticism but more an observation that older people say things like that.

And here is a funny saying I heard from some economists.
"Communism is when you nationalize the industry and the economy collapses, and Capitalism is when the economy collapses then you nationalize the industry"
I thought that should be relevant given the discussion about socialism and capitalism.
  • Hey Tom--

Being part Welsh, have you read The Mabinogion? It's basically a medieval collection of Welsh myths and legends--King Arthur, Taliesin, Celtic gods euhemerized etc. It's one of my favorite medieval books, and one of the stories explains the origin of the Red Dragon as the symbol for Wales.

(I'm also part Welsh, and have a Welsh flag outside my house--because yeah, the dragon is cool.)
  • Guys, have you done gone and made another *ridiculously* high bitrate podcast again? Nearly 100MB for 42 minutes???
