East Meets West 188: Never is not ever never

We give our thoughts on the finale of Doctor Who, and the departure of David Tennant. We weigh in on the wisdom of Dick Clark continuing to appear on New Year’s Eve. And we speculate on the breakup of the United States into separate countries.

Happy new year all. It's been awhile since I commented but still listening to EMW every week. T&R, your Doctor Who was great and fairly spot on with what I thought of David Tennant's last episode. The only part I disagreed with was I thought RTD did a lot of storytelling in his Doctor Who era and that Stephen Moffat will likely bring a more action-packed edge to the next Doctor Who. No matter what I'm looking forward to Matt Smith's Doctor Who.

In response to joshuashill's very cool question, the podcasts I listen to in addition to EMW:
    - Bite Club Show
    - Doctor Who Podshock
    - Fourcast
    - Current Geek
    - Adam Corolla
    - Hitchhiker's Guide to British Sci-Fi
    - Movielicious
    - The Loh Life

There's more but that's enough from me. Looking forward to hearing T&R's CES run-through.

OK. So it's a new year, and I thought it was about time to ask what Tom and Roger, as well as all the lovely listeners, what podcasts we are all listening to.

    Just a couple of my favourites;

    - BOL
    - EMW
    - ExtraLife Radio
    - FourCast

... oh, anyone else seeing the trend?

Hmm, just noticed I posted under the wrong episode. Guess I was more behind than I realized. I thought it was odd no one else had posted yet.

In regards to the Boiling Point flags, perhaps the country that has Las Vegas should have LEDs in their flag... or at least some neon.

I keep getting http://www%2Csubbrilliant.com/emw/ as the hyperlink URL for "breakup of the United States."

Tom, you mentioned the alternate universe Tennant Doctor, but what about the Doctor's daughter? Ive been waiting for her to come back to the show, partly because she was cute, but that could be an interesting twist to the show, or perhaps add her to Torchwood??

The Doctor Who episode "The End of Time - Part II" didn't air until 1st January 2010 in the UK, so BBC America didn't keep you waiting for a week, just one day.

Since a decade is technically just 10 years, pretty much any year could be said to start and/or end a decade. Pretty much arbitrary.
